Open Screen Night @ El Raton Theater

Our first Open Screen Night took place on August 11th at the Historic El Raton Theater! Drones & 360 Demonstration

The July Film & Media Networking event brought us Carlos Madrid from TuffKnight Droneworks LLC.

Carlos taught us drone and 360 camera fundamentals with an interactive and very informative demonstration at the Kearny School building including the process to get licensed, tips and tricks, and practical applications. Attendees had a blast getting a close up look at how the technology works and is applied in real world applications.

Thank you Carlos for lending your expertise to our group!

Check out some photos from the event on the event page.

Run to Raton

On July 20th, ERMW teamed up with The Ratonian again to film live music at Run to Raton!

Special thanks to the Piancino Family, Laura Brewer and family, Patchwork Phoenix, Motorcycle Mike, Mike Osbourn, and crew members Jose Lopez, Will Elder, Christeana Piancino, Brittney Semone, and Nikolaös Ibañez for all their hard work!

Haiti: A Story Told in New Mexico Available to Watch on YouTube

Haitian filmmaker Alain Martin visited Raton in June for a screening of his film, "The Forgotten Occupation."

Local residents, Will Weir and Tom Kovach arranged Alain Martin's visit to Raton for a special screening of "The Forgotten Occupation" at the El Raton Theater on June 2nd. After the screening the audience had a chance to ask the filmmaker questions about his hard-hitting documentary film while ERMW recorded it. We were also fortunate enough to interview Alain and Will about the film, and about the journey of bringing the film and filmmaker to Raton. In case you missed it, we have great news -- you can view the short documentary on YouTube!
