Pop-Up @ Kearny a Huge Success!

New Mexico's Commitment to Nurturing Creative Industries

The establishment of the Creative Industries Division through House Bill 8 in 2023 and its official launch through this inaugural event series mark a significant milestone for New Mexico. The state is committed to empowering artists, entrepreneurs, and businesses within the creative sector through workforce development initiatives, funding opportunities, and networking events. Learn more about the Creative Industries Division on their website.

A great turnout at our 1st New Mexico Creative Industries Event!

The Pop-Up @ Kearny was just one of eleven live events and over fifty online presentations held across New Mexico during the inaugural event series. Raton attendees enjoyed 18 interactive demonstrations at Kearny, from green screens and wardrobe design to drone cinematography and podcasting. The Pop-Up @ Kearny offered a glimpse into the building's future as a cutting-edge XR training studio and media workforce development center. View photos and read a our recap blog about the event on our website.

On June 19th ERMW participated in the Trinidad Juneteenth Celebration
Beki Laird, Sametta Jackson-Parker, and Zabe Holloway tabled for El Raton Media Works at Trinidad's Juneteenth National Independence Day Celebration. Beki and Sametta gave presentations and we met a lot of amazing people in the community that we hope to work with in the future! We had a great time and look forward to participating again next year, thank you to coordinator, Bryce Windsor Kennedy, for hosting the event!
