November 2022 Newsletter
We've had a lot of great news lately and would like to share a few key highlights:
In September, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham visited Kearny School and made the announcement that her administration has pledged $1.1 million in capital outlay to support a new film and media school and studio in Raton. This money will go to make necessary repairs to the building in the next year.
Colorado Public Radio interviewed El Raton Media Works heads, Ann Theis, Vaughn Vilapando, and Jose Lopez about the upcoming XR training studio and released this great article last week.
The 2nd Annual Colexico Experience Spaghetti and Westerns Film Festival in October was a great success. We want to thank our guests from near and far that came to participate and made the weekend unforgettable.
In November, we submitted a proposal to the City of Raton to create XR workforce training center at Kearny Elementary School in answer to their RFP.
